What is LMS? 
 
Is a software application or web-based technology used for administering , documenting, tracking, reporting, and delivering educational courses or training programs.

Historical context of LMS

The concept of learning management system has evolved significantly over the years. The first LMS appeared in the late 1990, focusing on supporting remote learning. This system provide features like documents, sharing and assignments submission.

LMS become more particularly vital in modern education due to the covid-19 pandemic, wherevonline learning surged in importance, making platforms like moodle and Google classroom household names in education. 



Why IUM choose LMS for online Education 

Remote learning facilitation- LMS platforms facilitate remote learning by providing a centralized location for course materials, communication tools and assessments.

Resource management- using an LMS allows IUM to efficiently manage educational resources including course materials, assignments, quizzes, and assessments, in a digit format that is easily accessible to students. 

Interactivity- LMS platforms offer features such as discussion forums, chart rooms, and collaborative tools that enhance students engagement and interaction in the online learning environment.
